E. Craig Lothian

President & CEO

Mr. Lothian obtained his B.A. (1986) and LL.B. (1988) from the University of Saskatchewan and rose to partnership of a Regina-based law firm prior to entering the energy business. Prior to founding Lex Capital Corp. in 2006, Craig founded a series of successful private oil companies, serving as CEO of Keystone Energy Inc., Keystone Energy Corp., Villanova Energy Corp. and Villanova 4 Oil Corp.

Mr. Lothian was also a founder and Executive Chair of Villanova Oil Corp. and Villanova Resources Inc. Most recently, in April 2022, Topaz Energy Corp. acquired Keystone Royalty Corp. (a private land and royalty company that was founded and led by Craig as President/CEO and Chair) for $96 million, equating to a 24.9X Gross Multiple for initial investors.

In addition to his role at Lex Capital Corp., Craig is the majority shareholder and Executive Chair of Lex Capital Management Inc. (a private equity firm in Regina) which was founded in 2009.

Mr. Lothian is also on the Investment Advisory Committee for the CVC and Emmertech funds.

Jesse Ross

Manager, Investments

Mr. Ross joined Lex Capital Corp. in 2016 after obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (with Distinction), from the University of Saskatchewan. While studying at the U of S, Jesse played for the Men’s Hockey Team for four years.

Mr. Ross is responsible for the analysis and due diligence of investments, generating deal flow, and providing guidance to our portfolio companies. Jesse currently sits on the Board of Excir Works Corp. and is a Board advisor to a few of our other portfolio companies. In addition to these roles, Jesse also sits on various Investment Advisory Committees.

Donna Melnik

Controller

Mrs. Melnik joined Lex Capital Corp. as our Controller in 2022 after the sale of Keystone Royalty Corp., one of our operating companies. After completing her Business Accounting Diploma from SIAST in 2007, she worked in Accounting/Finance for several years before taking a leave to obtain her Degree in Business. In December of 2020, Donna obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting, with honours, from the University of Regina. Donna is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions, banking needs and financial reporting related to the Company’s investment portfolio.

Tiffani Walter

Manager, Administration

Tiffani had originally started her employment with Keystone Royalty Corp. as Office Manager and in August, 2022, had been given the opportunity to transition to Lex Capital Corp. as Manager, Administration. Mrs. Walter provides general support and leadership to the accounting and investment functions of the Company. Tiffani performs multiple activities related to management of all corporate data, and records relating to all portfolio investments. In addition, she conducts a variety of land registry, corporate and related due diligence searches.
